RULES AND REGULATIONS
GENERAL
The Personal Organizer must be brought to school daily.
Every pupil must be present on the opening day of each term unless prior leave has been sanctioned. If absent for a continuous period of one week from the first day of the term or after vacation, or for one week before the last day of the term or vacation without prior approval, the pupil’s name may be struck off the rolls. Re-admission may be granted upon payment of the re-admission fee and arrears in full, subject to the Principal’s approval.
Irregular attendance, unjustified absence, objectionable moral behaviour, insubordination, contempt of authority, and unsatisfactory progress may justify rustication, expulsion, or dismissal. A pupil absent for more than fifteen days without submitting a leave application may be struck off the rolls.
No pupil arriving late or remaining absent will be permitted to attend class without written permission from the Principal.
In case of absence, a written leave application signed by the parent must be submitted on the day of resumption. Medical certificates must be attached for sickness lasting more than three days. Phone messages are not accepted.
Pupils suspected of suffering from contagious or infectious diseases will not be allowed in school unless certified fit by a registered medical practitioner. A medical certificate is required upon resumption of classes after illness.
Parents are solely responsible for the health risks of pupils suffering from congenital, chronic, or serious diseases. Parents must inform teachers annually about the medical condition and necessary precautions.
Pupils requiring exemption from Physical Training or Games must submit a doctor’s certificate and an application signed by a parent. The Principal may grant an exemption.
Pupils using bicycles must park in the designated Bicycle Stand and keep them locked. Riding on school premises is prohibited. The school is not responsible for damage or loss of bicycles. Pupils are strictly prohibited from driving motorized vehicles.
Pupils must maintain cleanliness and wear the prescribed uniform daily. Long nails, cosmetics, makeup, jewellery, and irregular hairstyles are not permitted.
Pupils must line up silently for assembly at the first bell and obey school captains.
Pupils must prepare their lessons and complete homework regularly. Only prescribed books according to the daily timetable should be brought to school.
English must be spoken to enhance proficiency.
Running, playing, whistling, or shouting inside the school building is prohibited. Pupils must walk in silence and in a single file under teacher supervision when moving between classrooms.
Littering is prohibited. Classrooms must be kept tidy, and food/water should not be wasted.
Pupils should not stay in classrooms during assembly, recess, or physical training unless the Principal permits.
Vandalism is strictly prohibited. Parents must compensate for damage to school property, and fines may be imposed.
Found items must be deposited at the designated counter. The school is not responsible for lost or found items. All belongings must be labelled with the pupil’s name and class.
No pupil may leave school premises during class hours without permission from the Principal and class teacher. Parents must apply to such cases.
Pupils are not allowed to receive visitors or make/answer phone calls during school hours. Urgent messages may be conveyed through the office.
Pupils are responsible for their conduct outside school. Misconduct in public places may lead to disciplinary action.
Neglect of studies, habitual lack of interest, lateness, stealing, disobedience, and misconduct are grounds for disciplinary action.
Pupils must go home directly after school. If delayed, they should report to the school office.
Participation in Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations is mandatory.
Written permission from the Principal is required for:
Collecting money, selling raffle tickets, etc.
Organizing parties, picnics, or meetings.
Joining a sports meet or playing an unsanctioned game.
Representing the school in external events.
Giving gifts to teachers or staging events in their honour.
Leaving school during school hours.
Attending classes after an absence or late arrival.
Arranging private tuition with a schoolteacher.
ADMISSION & WITHDRAWAL
LKG Admission: The child must be 3–4 years old as of April 1 of the current year.
Admission Process: Registration forms will be issued on a fixed date upon payment. Original and photocopies of birth certificates (Municipal/Corporation/Panchayat) and an affidavit must be submitted.
Admission to Class 8 and Below: Transfer certificates from non-affiliated schools must be countersigned by a District Inspector of Schools.
Parents are responsible for their child’s conduct and fees. Withdrawals after the session reopens require one month’s notice or a month’s fee in lieu.
Transfer certificates must be requested in writing by the parent/guardian.
EXAMINATION & PROMOTION
Pupils caught cheating during exams will have their results cancelled and may be withdrawn from school.
Progress reports must be reviewed by parents, who should guide their wards accordingly.
Promotion requires a minimum of 40% in all subjects.
No re-exams will be conducted. Absentees due to illness must submit a medical certificate. Promotion will depend on other test performances and the Principal’s discretion.
Pupils failing twice in a class or two consecutive classes will not be retained.
Sick leave procedures:
Submit a letter in duplicate within two days.
Attach a medical certificate.
Record sick leave in the diary.
Submit all three documents to the office.
ATTENDANCE
Pupils must be punctual and regular.
Pupils absent on the first three working days after vacation will be struck off the rolls unless parents inform the Principal in advance.
Attendance at national festivals is mandatory.
Participation in school activities is compulsory unless medically exempted.
Irregular attendance, neglect of studies, and repeated rule violations may lead to disciplinary action.
Final exams require a minimum of 80% attendance. Medical certificates do not guarantee consideration for promotion.
Absences must be documented with a leave note in the diary.
RECOMMENDATIONS TO PARENTS
Parents must support school rules, ensure regularity and discipline, and encourage participation in school activities.
Attendance at Parent-Teacher Meetings is encouraged.
Parents must instil habits of neatness, punctuality, and good conduct in their wards.
Parents cannot visit classrooms during school hours without the Principal’s approval.
Progress reports and school communications must be signed and acknowledged promptly.
Private tuition is discouraged. If necessary, it will be arranged by the Principal.
Pupils should not be taken home during class hours unless for emergencies.
Co-curricular activities enhance students’ development, and parents should support their participation.
Parents must avoid disturbing pupils during school hours and obtain permission from the Principal in emergencies.
RECOMMENDATIONS TO PUPILS
Pupils must arrive before school starts. Latecomers must provide a letter of excuse.
Pupils must obey school captains and maintain discipline.
Movement between classrooms must be orderly and supervised.
No pupil should remain in classrooms during recess.
Leaving the school premises without written permission is prohibited.
Pupils suffering from contagious diseases must be certified fit by a doctor before attending school.
Pupils are accountable for their behaviour outside school.
Gifts or demonstrations for teachers require prior approval.
English must be spoken on campus for academic benefit.
